The nightlife was stupid in College. The nightlife is stupid now. The nightlife
has always been stupid, only for it's late night timing. Half a hangover is
staying up too late.
You can have a club party during the day and with the lights out inside and the
same crowd of people, it is exactly the same party vibe.
You're never going to be the social man or woman you want to be if you don't get a
good night's sleep.
People should go to sleep early, and get up to go to day parties at 12:00pm Noon
or something.
While you certainly have a human right to party the night away on public property,
a beach or park, or in your own home; commercial advocation of public parties past
10:00pm ought to be prohibited now. In a party, it's only the crowd that counts.
The same crowd at 2:00pm on a Sunday afternoon, is as glorious a party, as at
10:00pm-2:00am on a Friday and Saturday night. You are a supposed to be sleeping
the same schedule every night of your life, be it New Years Eve. Academics,
Social Life, and sometimes Employment sometimes mess up your sleep schedules, and
once one is capable, one should not be confused about realizing that sleeping the
same 6-9 hours every night is normal, usual, and imperative. Your internal organs
rest every night, and you at least need to be laying down resting, or sitting at
home relaxing, not standing up, walking around, dancing, processing alcohol in the
middle of the night - and half the effect of a hangover is a result of staying up
too late. While the commercial sale of alcohol presently is permitted only to
2:00am, party promoters in major metropolitan areas from Los Angeles to San
Francisco currently advocate parties from 10:00pm-2:00am every night of the week.
What started as a bad idea with college frat parties at the same time, is a bad
idea now. On craigslist and clubzone.com for example, one can find promotions for
late nights parties in major metropolitan areas statewide. While parties are a
positive wholesome social activity allowing people to make friends in the public,
these parties could be held before 10:00pm at night, instead helping the people to
get to bed and making them more industrious. Commercial sale of alcohol could be
prohibited at 10:00pm, or at least commercial promotion of parties. The American
schedule in general does not including staying up past 10:00pm. The 10 hours
between 10:00pm-8:00am are a time when noise violations are not permitted. While
in various Latin countries, a 2-3 hours siesta in the afternoon allows families
with children of all ages, in addition to party goers, to be out strolling the
public ways at 12:00am in the morning, without such a siesta in the USA, such an
activity is impossible. You're never going to be the social man or woman you want
to be if you don't get a good night's sleep. It's not going to work. Promote
commercial parties at a reasonable hour, allowing the employed and the unemployed
to get a good nights sleep. Commercial advocation of public parties past 10:00pm
ought to be prohibited now.
At the same time, another idea is at the same time, to allow sale of alcohol in
grocery stores, liquor stores, pharmacies and gas stations, at all hours of the
night, not to be drunk on premises.
Cause it's kind of a principle to always be able to buy something...
Of course, based on my proposed drug plan, this would be out of sight, out of
mind, in a store marked only by a number, in the supermarket with a separate
entrance or section, requiring people to have to really want it to find it, but
still be for sale.
Also a good idea is to make you buy a breathalyzer before you can buy alcohol with
your driver's license. But age discrimination against those under 18 and 21 is a
crime and ought to be stopped now. The Constitution guarantees equal protection.
